Ryan Outerbridge and his Franklin Pierce University Cross Country teammates collected some serious hardware at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.
Running at Stanley Park, a combined 23 teams hit the course with Southern Connecticut State taking first place in both races. For Franklin Pierce, the Men's team finished runner-up.
During the Men's 8K Race Franklin Pierce earned runner-up with a combined time of 2:10:08.3 which was just three seconds behind Southern Connecticut State who won first place.
Individually, junior Franklin Pierce runner Wondu Summa finished in first place after crossing the finish line in 25:04.9 (5:02/avg. mile) which was a full seven seconds faster than the second-place runner. For Summa, the race marks his third first-place finish this season, tacking onto his individual victories at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in September and a 1st place finish at the 11th Annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup on October 13th.
Outerbridge was the next Franklin Pierce runner to cross the line finishing 7th clocking a time of 25:31.9.
Following the race, the Northeast 10 released its All-Conference First Team list which included Outerbridge
