The 2020 NorthJersey.com Sports Awards show was unlike any other event of its kind.
The coronavirus pandemic may have taken away the traditional in-person celebration, but so much more was added to the online extravaganza.
NFL headliners Patrick Mahomes and Bill Belichick brought star power to the show, which featured Hall of Famers, Olympic Gold Medalists, and Champions from across the sports world. They all served as presenters for North Jersey's Player of the Year awards in various fall and winter sports from the 2019-20 school year.
Nathan Armstrong representing Pompton Lakes was declared the 2020 NorthJersey.com Sports Awards Boy’s Cross-Country Runner of the Year.
Armstrong was also a nominee for Indoor Track.
Olympic Triple Gold Medalist Jackie Joyner as the announcer for Armstrong’s Award.
