The Butterfield & Vallis 5k is fast approaching and we are excited to announce that we have an exciting draw prize for all participants.
Lennox Hill Hospital (in conjunction with the Bermuda Heart Foundation) will be giving TWO round trip tickets to New York and box seats at Madison Square Gardens on March 16th to see the New York Knicks play the Brooklyn Nets.
There will also be a corporate prize for the company with the most entries. Race proceeds from the Butterfield & Vallis 5k will be going to the Bermuda Heart Foundation. Volunteers from the Bermuda Heart Foundation will be assisting with the race as “super heroes” – marshaling the course and manning the water stops. Look out for them in their red capes.
The races kick off at 9.00am with the Primary and Middle School Boys and Girls running the 2.7K route and at 9.30 the Senior School students and Adults will run 5K.
Walkers will start right behind the runners after a Jump 2B Fit demonstration.
$500 will be awarded to the Primary, Middle and Secondary schools with the most entries.
Affiliated with the Mid Atlantic Athletic Club, the race is promoted and organized by Butterfield & Vallis and will be assisted on race day by volunteers from the Bermuda Heart Foundation.
Entry forms are available at the Sportseller, at both Butterfield & Vallis locations and online at www.bv.bm.
Online registrations are on www.racedayworld.com. Steven DeSilva and the Bermuda Timing team will once again be doing the chip timing.
The main draw prizes are 2 pedal bikes from Winners’ Edge, Sportseller Gift Certificates and Junior Fit Bits donated by BF&M.
The first 900 participants will receive a T-Shirt & Goodie Bag.
The first 900 finishers will receive a water bottle.
