The Bermuda National Athletics Association held their 2016 IAAF World Athletics Day at the National Sports Center hosted by the Flyers Track Club.
The Under 17 Girls 400 Meter Dash saw Messiah Greaves record the win with a time of 1:00.36, Mikaela Outerbridge finished second in 1:03.85 and Zariah Simmons finished third stopping the clock with a time of 1:06.36.
Deneo Brangman won the Under 17 Boys 400 Meter Dash clocking a time of 53.10, Lejaun Matthews finished second with a time of 54.40 and Malik Joell finished third with a time of 54.63.
The 11-12 Girls 800 Meter Run saw Selah Tuzo run away from the field with a time of 2:24.30, Chyna Donawa-Scott finished second in 2:39.12 and Kyasia Simmons finished third clocking 2:40.37.
Malik Joell ran to victory in the Under 17 Boys 800 Meter Run stopping the clock with a time of 2:08.64, Quincy Kuzyk was second in 2:10.19.
The Under 17 Girls Long Jump was won by Zekiah Lewis with a top leap of 4.77m, while Bruce DeGrilla won the Men’s Open Long Jump with a top leap of 7.08m.
