It is less than a week to go before Team Bermuda move into the Toronto 2015 ParaPanAm Athlete Village!
The Bermuda team for the Pan American Games did Bermuda proud and the Bermuda team for the ParaPanAm Games will do the same.
Bermuda’s ParaPanAm team will consist of:
Ann Lindroth – Bermuda Paralympic Association President (BPARAS) Jeni Southern – Bermuda Paralympic Association Secretary General Lorri Lewis – Chef de Mission (CdM) Annabel Carter - Doctor Jessica Lewis – T53 Athletics Athlete Yushae Desilva-Andrade – BC2 Boccia Athlete Steve Wilson – BC4 Boccia Athlete Ken Thom – Athletics Coach Troy Farnsworth – Boccia Coach Ashanti Andrade – Boccia Athlete Support Milton Hill – Boccia Athlete Support
Chef de Mission Lorri Lewis said, “As the President and Secretary General of all NPC’s (National Paralympic Committees) are allowed to each have a guest accredited, we also have Mark Lewis (Jessica’s Dad) and Sara Corday (Board member of Boccia Bermuda) with us. Other cheerleaders from Bermuda will be Barbara Cooper (better known as Bragging Granny!), Jean Lewis (Jessica’s other granny), Jacqui Lewis (Jessica’s big sister!), Karen Olson (head cheerleader!)”
Farnsworth, Desilva-Andrade, Wilson, Andrade and Hill will fly in on the August 2nd and will be transferred to the Village by Toronto 2015.
The Games will have 462 Medal events in 17 sports, to be held at 11 competition venues, with the participation of 1600 athletes from 28 countries.
