Competing in the NCAA Division II portion of the 2013 Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic, Tre Simons and his Limestone College Men's Cross Country teammates turned in some impressive times at the E.P. Sawyer State Park on the campus of the University of Lousville.
The Limestone College Men finished 15th-out of-38 teams.
The team got a standout performance from sophomore Tristian Perignon who finished an impressive 51st-out of-320 runners with a time of 27:57.27 in the 8K.
Also finishing in the top-100 for Limestone was freshman Scott Swing and junior Shawn Smith who finished in 85th and 97th-places, respectively. Swing turned in a time of 28:37.05 and Smith was just behind him with a mark of 28:46.46.
Just outside the top-100 was freshman Michael Darzi and sophomore Chase Steagall. Darzi's time of 28:56.35 placed him in 105th and Stegall turned in a 29:13.19 for 120th-place.
Sophomore Corey Parker, junior Cord Sgaglio, junior Simons and senior Chris Runnells (Lecanto, Fla.) all finished in the top-200. Simons finished 179th with a time of 30:09.82.
