Roy Allan-Burch dove into the pool this morning at 7:36amBermuda Time, as he competed in Heat 2 of the Men’s 100 Freestyle at the Beijing Olympics.
Burch in Lane 4 go a good start hitting the pool first but could not hold off the field as he finished 5th in a time of 52.65. Burch made the turn in second place hitting the wall in 24.64.
Although Burch did not break the Bermuda Long Course Record, he still is the record holder in Bermuda for the event with a time of 52.40 which he set on March 28th, at the XII FINA World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.
Burch finished 60th overall.
