Bermudian swimmer Elan Daley is set to test herself against the world’s elite after being named in a strong University of Tennessee contingent heading to the 2026 World Aquatics Short Course Swimming Championships in Beijing.
The championships, running from December 1st to 6th, will see Daley join a group of current Volunteers making the journey to China to compete on the global stage.
The junior sprinter heads into the international meet in fine form, having already made an immediate impact for the Lady Vols this season. In Tennessee's recent dual-meet victory over Carson-Newman, Daley secured a pair of second-place finishes across the sprint freestyle events.
Her current campaign builds on an eye-catching debut season on Rocky Top, during which she recorded multiple podium finishes, highlighted by a runner-up spot in the 50m freestyle against Arizona State at the CSCAA Dual Meet Challenge.
On the international circuit, Daley has already established her pedigree representing Bermuda at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, securing three top-10 finishes, led by a sixth-place showing in the 50m freestyle final.
