Bermudian swimmer Elijah Daley enjoyed a standout meet for the University of Toronto, claiming an individual title and relay gold at the 2026 Dino Invitational in Calgary.
Competing at the University of Calgary Swim Club's annual short-course showcase, the 20-year-old Varsity Blues standout demonstrated his versatility across the strokes, dominating the men’s 200m individual medley before helping Toronto take top honours in the 200m medley relay.
Daley, who entered the competition with the top seed time of 1 minute 58.91 seconds, produced an authoritative swim in the Men’s 200m SC Individual Medley.
Taking control over the middle legs of the race, Daley held off the chasing pack to touch the wall first in 2:02.35, securing a convincing victory on the podium for the Varsity Blues.
Daley's winning momentum carried directly into the team events, where he lined up on the breaststroke leg for Toronto's 'A' quartet in the Men’s 200m SC Medley Relay.
Teaming up with backstroker Andrew Herman (22), butterfly specialist Eric Ginzburg (21), and anchor freestyle sprinter Albert Bouley (20), Toronto led from the early exchanges.
Daley’s split through the second 50 metres helped consolidate the Blues' lead, allowing Ginzburg and Bouley to bring the team home in 1:39.11 to complete a clean sweep of the evening's top step.
