Bermudian swimmer Elan Daley helped the University of Tennessee open their competitive season in style with a commanding dual-meet victory over Carson-Newman.
The Lady Vols cruised to an emphatic 152-84 triumph, while the Tennessee men’s team rounded off a successful weekend by sealing a 164-121 win of their own.
Daley was at the sharp end of the sprint action, picking up a pair of polished second-place finishes across the individual freestyle events.
The rising star stopped the clock in 23.09 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle before backing up her form in the 100-yard event, touching the wall in a swift 49.77 to secure another runner-up spot and valuable team points.
