A string of dominant individual displays headlined Race Two of the 2026–2027 RUBIS Energy Karting Championship on Sunday, with clean sweeps across multiple divisions at the Rubis Southside Raceway.
Nathan DeCosta took complete control of the TAG Senior division, executing a flawless triple victory across all three heats. Behind the runaway leader, Alondro Albouy and Ryan Lopes locked horns in an engaging battle for the remaining podium positions.
The dominance was mirrored in TAG Junior, where Tanner Correia proved untouchable, bagging maximum points with three straight heat wins. Jonathan Linberg and Syah Pedro traded blows all afternoon in a tightly contested scrap for the runner-up honours.
In the L206 class, veteran racer Jason North produced a driving masterclass, sweeping all three heats ahead of a determined Neil Martins, with Scott Barnes climbing into third spot in the final contest.
Barnes was straight back into victory lane in the KZ Shifter category. Carrying his form into the headline gearbox division, Barnes swept every heat to hold off persistent pressure from Ryan Rebello, who had to settle for second place across the board.
The clean sweeps continued into KZ Masters as Jason DeCouto stamped his authority on the field, taking three consecutive chequered flags ahead of Rian Lindo and Jonah Moniz.
The youngsters in the Cadet Class provided no shortage of clinical driving either. Mason Sousa maintained a perfect record on the day with a treble of victories, keeping Miguel Cabral in second place throughout, while Hayden Constable Stephens and Ryan Daley completed the top four in the final two heats.
