Bermudian motorcycle racer Aeziah Divine wrapped up a fiercely contested second day of racing with a hard-earned 14th-place finish, in the R&G Moto4 British Cup at Hampshire’s iconic Thruxton Circuit, praising his team's support ahead of the next round at the iconic TT Circuit Assen.
In a tightly packed field, the teenage talent found himself locked in an intense mid-pack battle, trading positions in a large group contesting seventh place.
Despite mounting a late charge in the closing stages, Divine was unable to carve a path through the traffic and took the chequered flag in 14th.
"I had good battles during the race in a big group that was fighting for P7," Divine said. "I tried to push hard for the last few laps, but couldn’t make many overtakes, and crossed the line in 14th."
The Bermudian was quick to highlight the efforts of his garage and support network throughout a demanding race weekend.
"Big thank you to the team, I honestly couldn’t do it without you guys," Divine added. "Thank you Alvaro Castagno Ubeda and Dicko, and of course my mechanic Tomas, for supporting me as always."
Divine now turns his focus toward preparation and refinement ahead of his next test on the international stage in the Netherlands.
"I’ll be working hard between now and the next round. More to come at Assen."
