Following a productive acclimatisation and training session at the venue, the island's contingent took to the pool for the opening day of preliminary heats against top-tier junior talent from across the Pacific rim.
Noah Maranzana led the charge in the sprint events, clocking a solid 26.98 seconds in the 13-18 Men's 50m Butterfly preliminaries to finish 28th overall.
In the Men's 13-18 200m Freestyle heats, Connor Hupman spearheaded the Bermudian effort with a time of 1:57.13 to secure 26th place, while team-mate Logan Jones touched the wall shortly after in 2:02.00 to finish 27th.
Hupman returned to the pool for a busy opening schedule in the Men's 13-18 100m Backstroke, recording a time of 1:02.24 to claim 28th place in the heats.
Meanwhile, Katherine Wheddon represented Bermuda in the Women's 13-18 200m Freestyle preliminaries, producing a composed swim to finish 28th overall in a time of 2:15.23.
