Harvey Finishes 17th in 100m Butterfly Heats
Bermuda’s Emma Harvey was back in action on the international stage, placing 17th overall in the women’s 100m butterfly preliminaries at the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Irvine, California.

Competing at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center, the 25-year-old clocked a time of 1 minute 00.13 seconds in a highly competitive morning session.

Testing Against World-Class Opposition

Harvey’s effort saw her narrowly miss out on the top-16 cut-off, finishing just outside the qualifying places for the evening finals.

The performance marks another solid outing for Harvey during a demanding multi-event schedule in California, where she has featured prominently across both butterfly and backstroke disciplines.

With the Pan Pacific Championships serving as a key benchmark against elite fields from nations such as the United States, Australia, and Canada, Bermuda's small contingent continues to gain valuable top-tier race sharpness on the road to future major international meets.
