Bermudian motorcycle racer Aeziah Divine has opened his Round 4 campaign in the R&G Moto4 British Cup with a pair of highly productive free practice sessions at a bustling Brands Hatch.
Riding the Fibre Tec Honda for the MLav Racing stable, the promising youngster used the opening day on track to dial in his machinery and familiarise himself with the complexities of the iconic Kent circuit.
In the opening Free Practice 1 session, Divine found his rhythm early to secure an 11th-place finish in the session. His personal best lap of 1:38.729 left him ranked 15th overall on the combined timing sheets as the grid shook off the cobwebs.
As the track temperature shifted for Free Practice 2, Divine and the MLav Racing crew made crucial adjustments to the Honda setup. While the ultra-competitive nature of the grid saw him finish the second session in 14th place, the tactical tweaks paid immediate dividends in raw pace. Divine successfully shaved nearly seven-tenths of a second off his morning benchmark, clocking an improved personal best of 1:38.054 to rank 16th overall.
With the foundational practice mileage now under his belt, Divine will look to carry this upward trajectory into the crucial qualifying sessions as he aims to secure a strong grid position for the upcoming sprint and feature races.
