St David’s Cricket Club claimed local bragging rights in the most dramatic fashion possible, defeating fierce rivals St George’s by just a single run in a breathless Premier Division encounter at Lord's.
On a day of high tension in the top flight, St George's won the toss and elected to field, successfully restricting the hosts to 132-8 from their allotted 20 overs. Dean Simons anchored the St David's innings with a vital, gritty knock of 44, while Keegan Jones proved the pick of the visitors' attack, claiming two wickets for 13 runs from his two overs.
The chase looked set for a grandstand finish, and it delivered exactly that. Despite a top-scoring effort of 37 from Jonte Smith, St George's were dramatically bowled out for 131 with just one run separating the sides.
The hero of the hour for St David's was Derrick Brangman, who produced a sensational, match-winning spell of bowling to rip through the batting lineup, returning stunning figures of 5-23 from his four overs.

In reply Willow Cuts could only manage 107/6, Ras Solomon Burrows was the top scorer with a knock of 27, Shaquille Pitcher was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers returning figures of 3-0-20-3.
Warwick Workmen's Club 181/4 Flatt’s Victoria 100/5
In the First Division, Tre Manders stole the show at Lord's as Warwick Workmen's Club cruised to a comprehensive 81-run victory over Flatt’s Victoria.
Opting to bat first, Warwick posted an imposing 181-4 from their 20 overs, heavily powered by a masterful 75 from Manders. His 58-ball masterclass included seven boundaries and three sixes. Menish Karade was the lone bright spot for Flatt's, taking 2-23.
In reply, Flatt's never threatened the target, halted at 100-5 despite an unbeaten 32 from Treadwell Gibbons. Bermuda international Kamau Leverock did the damage with the ball, suffocating the chase with figures of 3-16.
