Dandy Town Hornets 1 Robin Hood 4
Robin Hood put on a dominant display of attacking football to dismantle the Dandy Town Hornets 4-1 in the lone Bermuda Football Association Under-23 Division fixture of the weekend.
The match quickly turned into a procession as a clinical Hood side showcased their superior transition play, exposing defensive frailties in the Hornets' backline to comfortably secure all three points.
The tone was set in the 13th minute when Ayden Gardner found space inside the box, picking his spot to rifle home the opener and give Robin Hood a deserved lead. Dandy Town struggled to find their passing rhythm in response, consistently turning over possession in the midfield under relentless high pressing.
The pressure told again just five minutes before the interval. Tajai Goater capitalized on a lapse in the Hornets' central defense, ghosting in to double the advantage in the 40th minute and hand his side a commanding cushion going into the break.
Any hopes of a second-half Dandy Town resurgence were thoroughly extinguished in the 69th minute. Mayan Grant turned provider-turned-scorer, finishing a fluid team move to make it 3-0.
Robin Hood's relentless forward line refused to take their foot off the gas, and Jhazii Johnson put the result completely beyond doubt in the 81st minute, carving through a tired Hornets line to smash home a fourth.
To their credit, the Hornets refused to yield completely. Just two minutes after conceding the fourth, Cram Burgess managed to find a consolation breakthrough for Dandy Town in the 83rd minute, spoiling the clean sheet.
However, it was far too little, too late, as Robin Hood comfortably managed the remaining minutes of play to see out an emphatic victory.
