It was a weekend of mixed fortunes and narrow margins for Bermuda’s footballing contingent across the Atlantic, as crucial club clashes in the United States collided with end-of-season celebrations back in England.

Khano Smith was left to rue missed opportunities as his Rhode Island FC side fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Indy Eleven at the Michael A. Carroll Stadium, despite a dominant second-half display.
A cagey first half offered little for the neutrals, yielding just three shots on target between the two sides. The hosts almost caught Rhode Island cold just 17 seconds after the whistle, but goalkeeper Koke Vegas reacted brilliantly to tip Edward Kizza’s audacious effort over the bar.

The Spirit struck in each half to condemn Seattle to a cruel 2-1 defeat, sealing the winner in the dying moments of the match.
Meanwhile, Leilanni Nesbeth and Chicago Stars FC suffered a frustrating afternoon on the West Coast, falling 2-0 to San Diego Wave FC.
The Stars welcomed back talismanic forward Mallory Swanson to the starting lineup for the first time since 2024, put up a spirited fight, and kept the deficit to just a single goal for the majority of the contest. However, a late insurance goal from the Wave in the final minutes put the game firmly out of Chicago's reach.
There was plenty of cause for celebration for veteran Bermudian international Reggie Lambe, who was honored at Needham Market FC’s annual End of Season Awards Evening.
Staged in the prestigious Sir Bobby Robson Suite at Portman Road—the home of Ipswich Town—the event recognized the club's top performers from the past campaign. Lambe walked away with the coveted First Team Goal of the Season award, courtesy of his spectacular long-range wonder strike against Stratford Town.
