Thomas Cechini delivered a strong individual performance, highlighted by a victory in the 200-yard freestyle, as he and his Loyola University Maryland Men's Swimming and Diving teammates competed in the highly competitive JHU Invitational.
Cechini secured the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle, leading a dominant showing for Loyola in the event. He claimed the win with a time of 1:40.97. The Greyhounds showcased their depth in the event, with three other teammates placing in the top eight: Tyler Knurek finishing third, Pierre Leroy fourth, and Floyd Conlin eighth.
Cechini also contributed to a significant relay result. He swam the final leg for Loyola University Men’s 400 Yard Medley Relay team, which finished in a respectable fourth place with a time of 3:32.07.
His performances were central to the team's efforts at the multi-day invitational meet, underscoring his value to the Greyhounds' squad.
