Bermudian swimmer Elijah Daley recently gained valuable international experience, competing at Stop 3 of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2025 in Toronto, Canada, where he took on some of the world's best in two competitive events.
Daley faced a busy schedule on Day One, entering the pool for two different events, and recorded identical final rankings in both races, demonstrating consistent form against the elite field.
In his first event, Heat 2 of the Men’s 100m Medley, Daley finished 7th in his heat, touching the wall with a time of 56.34 seconds. This performance placed him 20th overall in the competitive field.
Daley returned to action later in the day for the Men’s 100m Butterfly. Competing in Heat 3, Daley finished 8th, clocking a time of 54.45 seconds. This time also saw him finish 20th overall in the event rankings.
The World Cup provides high-level competition crucial for development, and Daley will take significant experience from competing on the international stage in Toronto.
