Watson-Brown Puts In Solid Shift at Elite Invitational

Swimmer Logan Watson-Brown delivered multiple strong performances for her George Washington (GW) swimming & diving teammates at the competitive Wolfpack Elite Invitational, contributing key relay leads and individual final finishes.

Watson-Brown played an instrumental role in George Washington's relay teams throughout the mid-season invitational. She led off the George Washington University Women’s 200 Yard Medley Relay 'A' team, which finished 19th overall with a time of 1:42.40.

She repeated her lead-off role for the George Washington University Women’s 400 Yard Medley Relay 'A' team, helping the squad clock 3:47.37 to finish 13th in the event.

In the individual events, Watson-Brown consistently secured spots in the D Final:
Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle: She qualified for the D Final, finishing 7th in that race with a time of 1:51.47, placing her 31st overall in the event (preliminary time was 1:51.36).
Women's 100 Yard Freestyle: Watson-Brown once again reached the D Final, finishing 5th in her heat. Her time of 51.55 saw her place 29th overall.

The competition at the Wolfpack Elite Invitational, which featured powerhouses like NC State, Auburn, and Duke, provided a high-level test for the George Washington team, who finished seventh overall in the women's standings. Watson-Brown's consistent presence in finals and her leading role in the relays were valuable contributions to the Colonials' performance.
