Bermudian swimmer Elan Daley and her No. 8 Tennessee Swimming and Diving teammates were narrowly defeated by Michigan in the CSCAA Dual Meet Challenge, dropping the match-up with a score of 17-23 at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatics Center.
Despite the overall team loss for the Lady Vols, Daley was an integral part of two key relay performances on the night.
In the Women’s 400 Yard Medley Relay, Daley swam the third leg for the Tennessee 'B' team. The squad finished third in the competitive event, stopping the clock with a time of 3:32.31.
Daley also contributed significantly in the Women's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. She swam the second leg for the Tennessee 'B' team, which secured a strong second-place finish with a time of 3:15.56.
The tight scoreline shows the highly-ranked Lady Vols put up a strong fight, with the outcome of the women's meet coming down to the final event. Tennessee will look to bounce back as the CSCAA Dual Meet Challenge continues.
