Bermudian karting champion Scott Barnes has completed his practice and qualifying sessions for the prestigious SKUSA SuperNationals, North America’s most elite karting event, held at the challenging Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Barnes delivered consistent speed across a demanding day of action, settling in against a top field of international competitors.
The early sessions saw Barnes steadily improve his lap times as he tuned his kart for the complex Las Vegas circuit:
First Practice: Barnes finished 10th in the first race of the day, with his fastest lap clocking in at 46.145 seconds on lap seven.
Second and Final Practice: He maintained his competitive pace, finishing with the 11th fastest time overall in the final practice session at 45.607 seconds.
Qualifying: Barnes then finished 15th in the official Qualifying race, setting his best time of the day at 45.601 seconds on his fifth lap.
The strong, consistent performances put Barnes in a favourable position as he heads into the heat races, aiming to advance to the final in one of the biggest events on the global karting calendar.
