The FedExCup Fall schedule heads to the beautiful island of Bermuda this week, as the Butterfield Bermuda Championship returns to the scenic Port Royal Golf Club from November 13th to 16th.
This stage of the FedExCup Fall is primarily focused on the crucial race for the top 100 on the standings, with players fighting fiercely to secure their PGA Tour card for the 2026 season. Due to the high-stakes nature of the concluding weeks, many of the tour's highest-ranked players are enjoying a break or competing in larger-purse events overseas.
Despite the absence of the world's top talent, the field features a captivating storyline involving its highest-ranked player: Michael Brennan. The 23-year-old product out of Wake Forest, ranked No. 42 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), headlines the field. He is one of only two players from the OWGR top 50 scheduled to play.
Brennan arrives at Port Royal with an incredible tale of turnaround:
Just weeks ago, Brennan competed in the Bermuda local qualifying event held in Orlando on October 13th, shooting a 67—a score that was three shots too many to even make a playoff for the final spot in this tournament.
Following that disappointment, Brennan immediately flew to Utah to compete in the Bank of Utah Championship as a sponsor invite. In only his third career Tour start, he shockingly won the event and changed his life.
The victory grants Brennan a two-year exemption, allowing him to skip the Korn Ferry Tour and move straight to the big leagues. He is now scheduled to make his third consecutive start on Tour in Bermuda, having already secured his card.
The only other player entered in the field from the OWGR top 50 is Sam Stevens, ranked No. 48, who is still seeking his maiden victory on Tour.
