Logan Jimenez and his Hibernian FC U19 teammates have learned their next challenge in the UEFA Youth League domestic champions path, drawing Ukrainian youth champions FC Dynamo Kyiv in the third round.
Hibernian secured their passage by defeating FC 2 Korriku with a comfortable 4-1 aggregate score in the previous round. They will now face a significant step up in competition against Dynamo Kyiv, one of the most respected youth academies in European football.
Dynamo Kyiv earned their spot in the third round after overcoming Swedish outfit IF Brommapojkarna, winning their tie 3-1 on aggregate.
The third-round tie will be contested over two legs, with the first match scheduled for late November:
Wednesday, November 26: FC Dynamo Kyiv will host Hibernian FC in the first leg. Wednesday, December 10: Hibernian FC will host FC Dynamo Kyiv in the decisive second leg.
Jimenez and the Hibernian squad will be aiming to progress further in the competition, with the winner of this third-round tie advancing to a play-off round against a runner-up from the UEFA Champions League path.
