Bermuda’s golfers enjoyed a fantastic final day at the Caribbean Golf Association (CGA) 4-Ball Championship in Jamaica, securing victory atop two leaderboards and adding a runner-up finish to their medal haul.
The two championship wins came in the women's senior ranks and the most senior men's division, capping a strong performance at the Cinnamon Hill Golf Course.
Command Wins Secure Gold
The pairing of Tracy Burgess and Ann Symonds finished their campaign in the Ladies 45+ Division in dominant style. A final round of 4-over par 76 saw them finish at 4-over par overall. This exceptional score gave them a commanding eight-stroke advantage over second-placed Jamaica, confirming a gold medal finish. Trinidad & Tobago took third at 40-over.
In the most senior category, the Men’s 70+ Division, the Bermudian duo of Quinton Sherlock Sr and Hav Trott also claimed the top prize. They finished the championship at 1-under par overall. The victory saw them finish two strokes clear of the Bahamas (1-over par), with Jamaica B rounding out the podium in third (4-over par).
Seniors Claim Silver
Mark Ray and Roger Brangman delivered a strong finish in the competitive Seniors Division, securing a well-earned runner-up medal. Their final score of 1-over par overall was enough to place them second, with Barbados finishing third at 2-over. Jamaica won the division convincingly at 12-under par.
