Sailor Christian Ebbin and his Tulane teammates navigated a competitive field to finish eighth overall at the Open Atlantic Coast Championship Semifinals, hosted by the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Tulane secured their mid-fleet position among 18 teams, posting a total score of 138 points through eight challenging rotations, a result that reflects strong performances in a difficult regatta format.
The most consistent scoring came from the B Division, where the pairing of skipper Ebbin and crew Sabrina Anderson led the Green Wave’s efforts. The duo delivered a solid showing, placing sixth in their division with a total of 58 points.
Meanwhile, the Tulane boat competing in the A Division, skippered by Kelly Holthus and crewed by Jonah Wozniak, finished ninth in their division after accumulating a total score of 80 points across their eight races.
The eighth-place finish overall is a creditable result for Ebbin and the Tulane team as they continue their competitive collegiate sailing season.
