Dylan Muso, the freshman representing McDaniel University, delivered a superb final-round performance to dramatically improve his standing at the West Pines Collegiate Open, in Douglasville, USA - finishing tied for 16th place in the individual standings.
Playing at the West Pines Golf Club, Muso began the day positioned T33rd at five-over par, needing a big finish to make a climb. He duly delivered, carding an excellent third-round score of one-under par (70), one of the best rounds of the day, to vault up the leaderboard.
Muso’s final round was marked by impressive accuracy and scoring opportunities, featuring four Birdies, eleven Pars, and just three Bogey’s.
Muso’s rounds helped McDaniel University finish 9th overall with a combined score of 28-over par.
His overall tournament score finished at four-over par, a strong result for the freshman in what was a competitive collegiate field. Muso's spirited final-day charge will provide significant momentum as he continues his debut season with the McDaniel Green Terror.
