The local motocross season roared back to life with its opening race day, seeing three riders stamp their authority with dominant performances to claim the Expert, Over 40, and Over 30 titles.
DeGraff Claims Expert Title
The premier Expert division was won by Allan Degraff, whose consistency and speed saw him clinch the title. Degraff secured two wins and a second-place finish across the three races to take the top spot. Zico Majors finished as the runner-up with two second-place finishes, while Preston Martin secured third place overall for the day.
Trott and Cannonier Sweep Veteran Classes
In the age-group categories, two riders achieved flawless performances:
Over 40 Division: Le-Troy Trott was unstoppable, taking the checkered flag in all three races to claim a decisive victory. Ronald Trott finished runner-up in all three heats, with Ben Zoeller taking third place. Over 30 Division: Lorenzo Burch also delivered a clean sweep, winning all three races to secure the top spot in his class. Lorenzo Burch finished second, and Willem Vermeulen rounded out the podium in third.
The opening day provided strong indications of the riders to beat as the motocross season gets into full swing.
