Team Bermuda delivered a highly competitive performance at the 2025 Global Team Race Regatta (GTRR), mixing it up against some of the world's best sailing clubs at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club in California.
The Bermudian team, comprised of Josh Greenslade, Sammy Dill, Alan Frith, and Ruth Mello-Cann, secured a total of nine victories across the two preliminary rounds of racing.
The team recorded five wins in the First Round and followed up with four more wins in the Second Round, demonstrating consistent improvement and tactical acumen in the challenging team racing format.
The international field featured 12 teams, including top clubs and associations from countries such as: Australia, Japan, Netherlands, New York Yacht Club (NYYC), Sweden, St. Francis Yacht Club (StFYC), Italy, Newport Harbor Yacht Club (NHYC), Scotland, and England.
The high number of wins against this elite international competition marks a successful outing for Team Bermuda, showcasing their talent on the competitive keelboat team racing circuit. The experience against top-tier global teams will prove invaluable for the Bermudian crew.
