The Bermuda Field Hockey League witnessed a stirring comeback at the National Sports Center, as the Hurricanes fought back from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Swizzles 3-2 in a tightly contested encounter.
The Swizzles flew out of the blocks, with Jess Charles giving them an early advantage by scoring a field goal in the 4th minute. Charles doubled the lead for the Swizzles in the 17th minute, putting the Hurricanes under immediate pressure.
The Hurricanes, however, managed to pull one goal back before the halftime break through Jonathan Evans in the 25th minute, keeping the score manageable at 2-1.
The second half belonged entirely to the Hurricanes:
Evans was again the catalyst, scoring his second goal of the game in the 42nd minute to level the score at 2-2.
The dramatic comeback was completed in the 51st minute when Jack Finlay found the back of the net to score the Hurricanes' winner, securing the 3-2 victory.
The result is a crucial one for the Hurricanes, demonstrating their fighting spirit and ability to overturn a deficit against a strong Swizzles side.
