Curtis & Tucker Crowned White’s Island Regatta Champions

The annual White’s Island Regatta delivered a competitive day of sailing as six Comet Class boats took to the Great Sound and Hamilton Harbour waters. The course, which featured a challenging loop around White's Island, tested both the speed and tactical awareness of the fleet.
Emerging as the standout performers were Maxwell Curtis and his crew, Wesley Tucker, who were crowned the 2025 champions. Their precise handling and consistent speed saw them navigate the demanding course to claim the top spot.
Veteran sailors Gladwin Lambert and his crew Antione Wingood demonstrated their enduring skill, securing a respectable second-place finish.
Rounding out the podium in third place were Dale Brangman and his crew, Treasurer Nanette.
The regatta, hosted off the West End Sailboat Club, marked another successful event for the classic Comet Class, celebrating the tradition and competitive spirit of local sailing.
