Christian Ebbin and his Tulane Sailing teammates earned its second consecutive victory in the Sugar Bowl Open, finishing with a total of 189 points across 14 races. This impressive total put them 37 points clear of second-place Stanford. The win was paced by the exceptional sailing of skipper Hamilton Barclay and crew Taylor Bartell in the B Division, who finished with just 37 points, the best score of any team in the competition.
Tulane's success continued in the A Division, where the duo of skippers Ebbin and Tate Christopher, along with crews Sabrina Anderson and Hope Breslin, finished third overall. The group accumulated 71 points with Ebbin sailing the first eight races with Anderson before Christopher and Breslin took over for the final six.
The Bermuda connections didn't stop there. Jordan Vieira and PJ Rodrigues, sailing for Eckerd College, finished in fourth place with 422 points. Rodrigues, sailing the A Class boat, ended with 107 points, while his teammate Vieira, sailing the B Class boat, finished with 125 points.
