Bermudian rider Jediah Cumbermack, representing the British development team Rokit Rookies, reflected on an impressive weekend at the AJN Steelstock Limited Kawasaki British Superteen Championships at Donington Park. Despite facing some challenges, Cumbermack showcased his talent and determination on the track.
"What a last outing at Donington Park I had," Cumbermack remarked. "I finished Race 1 in 10th place after some mishaps, but I was overall pleased with my performance."
Race 2 saw Cumbermack start from a strong 6th position on the grid, a testament to his pace in the first race where he secured the sixth fastest lap. He had a promising start to the second race, fiercely battling for a podium spot in the early stages.
However, an unfortunate incident led to a penalty for the young rider. "Unfortunately, I made contact with another rider, resulting in me getting a long lap penalty," he explained. "I was not too pleased with this, as I thought it was just a race incident."
Despite the setback of the long lap penalty, Cumbermack demonstrated resilience, ultimately finishing in a strong 6th position.
He concluded by expressing his gratitude: "Lastly, I want to say thanks to my team and sponsors as they always provide the best quality of help. I would also like to give a big shout-out to my family for making this happen."
