Julian Darby's Bolton Wanderers Under-18 team secured a 1-0 victory on the road against Mansfield Town Under-18's, a result that was capped off by a significant debut for 15-year-old Na’im Zuill.
The only goal of the game came in the 70th minute. Some excellent work from Denver Clement won a free-kick on the edge of the 18-yard box, and Jack Mawditt stepped up to place the ball straight into the bottom corner to give Bolton a 1-0 lead.
Just six minutes later, Bolton Wanderers made a substitution that will be a significant moment in their youth academy. They brought on 15-year-old Na’im Zuill, a member of the Under-16 team, to make his Under-18 debut in place of Corey Thomas. The call-up is a testament to the young Bermudian's promising development and potential within the club's ranks.
Bolton Wanderers were able to hold on to the lead for the remainder of the match, claiming a hard-fought 1-0 victory and starting their season with a positive result.
