A quick-fire start and a solid defensive performance helped the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) women's soccer team secure their second shutout win of the season, a 3-0 victory over Southern. The win marks ULM's third consecutive victory over Southern in their series history.

The University of Louisiana Monroe, featuring Bermuda Women’s National team player Jaden Masters, came out of the blocks firing. In the ninth minute, captain Skylar Blaise scored her fourth goal of the season, getting the assist from Vienna Tokam, who recorded her first career assist.

ULM continued its dominance, with a corner kick resulting in their second goal of the day. Libby Holmes scored her second goal of the season, with Ines de Lope Casanova gaining her first assist and point.

In the 77th minute, ULM extended the lead as Ava Goodman knocked in a goal after a free kick came in ULM's favour. The goal was assisted by Beth Strutton, her second assist of the season.

The defensive effort was a key factor in the win, as the ULM backline turned in a solid performance to secure the shutout. The victory improves ULM's overall record to 4-2-1, giving them momentum heading into their next match.
