Bermuda's Rudy Bailey, sailing with crew Tyler Hartswell, has concluded a highly impressive regatta, finishing in second place at the 2025 Comet Internationals in Oceanport, New Jersey. The duo’s consistent performance across the event left them just two points behind the champion, Jay Rhame.
On the final day of racing, Bailey and Hartswell once again showed their skill, finishing seventh in the first race before bouncing back with a strong second-place finish in the second race. This performance was enough to secure their second-place overall position.
Maxwell Curtis and his crew Wesley Tucker also continued their solid regatta, holding on to a strong fourth-place overall finish. The pair showed remarkable consistency on the final day, finishing fourth in both of the races.
Gregory Wade and his crew Geno Smith made a positive move up the leaderboard, moving up to 16th overall after a challenging first two days. Their improved results on the final day of racing are a testament to their resilience. The Bermudian contingent's strong showing at the championships is a great sign for the future of sailing in Bermuda.
