Bermuda's Kaden Hopkins and Nic Narraway have made a solid start to the Green Mountain Stage Race (GMSR) in New England, with both riders delivering strong performances in the opening Time Trial.
Competing in the highly competitive Men’s Pro/1/2 Division, the Bermudian duo faced a tough 5.7-mile course in Warren, Vermont. Hopkins, returning to the GMSR after several years racing in Europe, finished in an impressive sixth place with a time of 13:14.05.
Nic Narraway also had a respectable performance, clocking a time of 13:47.68 to finish 36th. The four-day event is known for its diverse stages, and the riders will now turn their attention to the next challenges, which include a circuit race, a mountain stage, and a criterium.
Both cyclists have been preparing at a training camp in Quebec, Canada, and their strong start will give them confidence as they aim for high finishes in the overall general classification.
