Bermuda's amateur golfers continued their campaign at the 2025 World Amateur Handicap Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with a number of players holding strong positions after the second day of competition.

The standout performance of the day came from Tracy Burgess in the Women’s Gross Division. A superb second-round of 78 saw her climb to a tie for first place in Flight #54. Her teammate Morgan Lightbourne is now tied for eighth in the same division.

In the women's events, Ann Symonds, who led her division after the first day, now sits in third place in Flight #57, the Senior Women 60 & Above Division. A second-round Net score of 78 puts her six strokes behind the leader. Ann Mitchell also had a challenging day, now tied for fourth in Flight #58 with a second-round score of 82.

In the men's senior divisions, Richard Marriott remains in contention. He is tied for third in Flight #10, the Senior Men’s (50-59) Division, just two strokes off the lead, after a second Net Round of 76. Anthony Than is tied for 35th in the same division. Gary Venning and Frank Morgan are in 16th and 9th place, respectively, in their Super Senior Men’s (70-79) Divisions.

With more golf to play, the Bermudian contingent will be looking to make a move up the leaderboard in the coming days.
