Bermuda Crowned CARIFTA Triathlon Champions

Silver Medal Mixed Relay Team

Bermuda has been crowned the overall champions of the 2025 Carifta Triathlon Championships in Trinidad and Tobago, a testament to a phenomenal team effort over the two-day event. The final day of competition was highlighted by a strong performance in the Mixed Team Relays, where Bermuda secured both the Silver and Bronze medals.

The silver medal team consisted of Riana Robinson, Dylan Eiselt, Naomi McGuinness, and Jackson Langley. The bronze medal-winning team was made up of Maddy Schindel, Gianluca Bortoli, Sofia LeClerc, and Sanchez Smith.

In the individual aquathlon events, the Bermudian athletes continued their impressive medal haul. Rory Shepard delivered a gold medal performance in the Boy's 13-15 Aquathlon, covering the 500m swim and 2.5km run in a winning time of 16:15. He was well supported by his teammates, with Jasper Lau finishing 7th, Rohan Roopra 8th, Ethan Smith 14th, Spencer Haldeman 15th, and Lucas Bule 19th.

In the Girls 13-15 Aquathlon, Madison Schindel finished a strong 5th with a time of 19:30, followed closely by Zara Bule in 6th. Sofia Leclerc was 9th, Riana Robinson 10th, Isla Cooze 12th, and Elena Bortoli 14th.

The Women’s 16-21 Aquathlon saw Carina Bortoli finish in 4th place with a time of 40:08, and Ella Shepherd taking 5th. In the Men’s 16-21 Aquathlon, Gialuca Bortoli finished 4th, with Logan Jones placing 19th. The collective results across all divisions were enough to secure Bermuda the top spot as the overall high-point country.
