Sebastian Kempe has made an impressive start at the 2025 ILCA Under-21 World Championship, held in Dublin Bay, Ireland. The young Bermudian sailor, fresh off his silver medal win at the Junior Pan American Games, finished the opening day in second place overall.
The championship has drawn nearly 220 of the world's best young sailors from 38 nations, highlighting the high level of competition. In the ILCA 7 Class, Kempe showed remarkable consistency, securing a third-place finish in the first race followed by a second-place finish in the second race.
His strong performance places him just one point behind the current fleet leader, Kyfidis Athanasios from Greece. With several days of racing ahead, Kempe is in an excellent position to challenge for the title. The competition continues to heat up on Dublin Bay as sailors vie for a spot on the podium.
