The Reign raced into a commanding position, with Jess Fishlock and Jordyn Huitema both finding the net in the first half. Emeri Adames then extended their lead early in the second, putting Seattle in full control with a 3-0 advantage.
However, the visiting Stars mounted a remarkable comeback, responding with three unanswered goals to level the match and secure a valuable point on the road.
Bermudian forward Mia Fishel entered the game for Seattle in the second half, while compatriot Leilanni Nesbeth, who has recovered from a hip injury, was an unused substitute for Chicago.
