Kenni Thompson, wearing her new number seven shirt for Bournemouth Women's FC, made a strong statement in their FA Women's National League opener. She was on target, scoring in her team’s decisive 7-0 victory. Thompson's goal was a key part of her team’s rout as they started the new season in dominant fashion.
In other FA Women's National League action, Dashun Cooper, the goalkeeper coach for QPR Women, watched his team secure a comprehensive 7-0 win over MK Dons Women. The result was a perfect start to their league campaign, with their goalkeeper recording a clean sheet.
In the Isthmian Women’s Cup, K’Shaela Burch Waldron and her Sutton United Women’s teammates showed immense character, twice coming from a goal down to defeat Carshalton Athletic 6-2 and advance to the next round.
Tough Defeat
It was a challenging day for Camryn Lines and her Bridgwater United Women FC teammates, who went down 3-1 to Moneyfields in their FA Women's National League match.
