In the opening clash, the Hyannisport Presidents edged the Charlestown Chiefs in a narrow 4-3 victory. In a remarkable first period, all seven goals were scored.
The Presidents were led by a brace from Alex Larouche, with single strikes from Kris Abramowski and Mark Heintzman sealing the win. The Chiefs' goals came from Marcel Bouwens, Shawn Mckee, and Pete Brodsky.
