Kaden Hopkins has continued his resilience at the 74th Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe, navigating a demanding Stage Five and moving up the overall standings.
Riding for Uni Sport Lamentinois, Hopkins competed in a grueling 158.2km race from Baie-Mahault to Gourbeyre with over 11,000 feet of climbing. He finished in 34th place, with a time of 4:42:23. The stage was won by Stiven Chaves, who crossed the line in 4:20:14.
Despite the gap to the stage winner, Hopkins's consistent performance has paid off in the general classification. He moved up five places to finish the day 35th overall, with a combined time of 18:35:41.
While he is now 29 minutes and 47 seconds behind the new overall leader, Camilo Ardila Andrés, Hopkins's ability to maintain his position in the top half of the field after a challenging few stages demonstrates his determination to compete at a high level.
