Bermuda's young triathletes have showcased their talent on the international stage at the USA 2025 Youth & Junior Nationals, held at the Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio.
Rory Shepherd delivered a standout performance in the Youth Draft-Legal Male 13-15 Age Group, finishing in an impressive 6th place with a total time of 31:29. Shepherd's individual splits were strong across all three disciplines, with a swim time of 5:00, a bike time of 15:18, and a run time of 9:00, highlighting his all-round ability.
Meanwhile, Gianluca Bortoli competed in the highly competitive Junior Draft-Legal Male 16-19 Division, crossing the line in 32nd place with a time of 59:25. Bortoli's performance was broken down into a 10:41 swim, a 29:08 bike, and a 17:26 run.
Two other Bermudian triathletes, Dylan Eiselt and Jackson Langley, had also qualified for the event but did not compete.
The national championships provided a valuable opportunity for the Bermudian athletes to compete against a high calibre of competition as they continue their development in the sport.
