Connor Hupman has made waves in the swimming world this July, breaking two Bermuda Boys 15-16 Age Group Long Course Records within a single week.
The young Bermudian talent showcased exceptional form, first at home and then on the international stage, rewriting the record books for his age group.
Hupman's impressive run began at the recent Harbour July 2025 Long Course Meet held at the National Sports Centre. Representing Harbour Swim Club, he powered through the water to touch the wall in the 50m Butterfly with a blistering time of 27.81 seconds. This remarkable swim shattered the previous record of 28.33, which had been set by Elijah Daley on July 7th, 2022, during the Ontario Provincials.
Just a week later, Hupman continued his record-breaking spree. Competing at the prestigious 2025 TYR Futures in Ocala, Florida, this time representing Baylor Swim Club, he demonstrated his freestyle prowess. In the 50m Freestyle event, Hupman clocked an incredible 23.88 seconds. This performance eclipsed Finn Moseley's previous record of 24.08, which had stood since June 27th, 2021, set during the Plymouth Leander Summer L4 Open.
Hupman's double record-breaking achievement underscores his rapidly developing talent and marks him as a rising star in Bermudian swimming. His performances this month will undoubtedly generate excitement for his future in the sport.
