Bermuda's swimming contingent has delivered a series of impressive performances at the 2025 Planet Swim Summer Championships, held at the Planet Swim & Tennis Club in Ponte Vedra, Florida. The island's swimmers secured a gold medal in a relay event, alongside multiple individual silver and bronze medals, showcasing the depth of talent within the national program.
A highlight of the championships was the outstanding effort from the Boys 400m Medley Relay team. The quartet of Brian Desmond, Caleb Ingham, Logan Jones, and Gabriel Maranzana combined effectively to claim the Gold Medal in the A Final, a testament to their teamwork and individual prowess.
Individually, Brian Desmond had a stellar meet in the 15 & Over Boys' category. He secured a Silver Medal in the 100m Backstroke, and followed that up with another Silver Medal performance in the 100m Freestyle, demonstrating his versatility across different stroke disciplines.
Caleb Ingham also made a significant impact on the podium. He earned a Bronze Medal in the 15 & Over Boys' 50m Freestyle, and further showcased his speed by capturing a Bronze in the 15 & Over Boys' 100m Freestyle.
The strong medal haul at these championships, held in an Olympic-standard pool, provides a valuable boost for Bermuda's swimmers as they continue their development and prepare for future international competitions.
