The PHC Lady Zebras secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Dandy Stars tonight in the sole Bermuda Football Women’s Division match held at the Clyde Best Center of Excellence Field.
The encounter proved to be a tight affair, with both teams battling hard throughout a cagey first half that saw no goals scored.
The deadlock was finally broken early in the second half. Just three minutes after the restart, in the 48th minute, Jasmine Spence found the back of the net for the PHC Lady Zebras. Her decisive strike proved to be the lone goal of the game.
Despite the Dandy Stars' efforts to find an equalizer in the remaining minutes, the PHC Lady Zebras' defence held firm, securing them a valuable three points.
This narrow victory will be a significant boost for the PHC Lady Zebras as they continue their Women's Division campaign.
