Chelsea Women's star Mia Fishel, a member of their recent Triple Crown-winning squad, is currently in Bermuda, enjoying a well-deserved break.
The American international recently made her first appearance for Chelsea Women since recovering from a serious knee injury, featuring in a 2-1 away victory against Manchester City in the Women's Super League on March 23rd.
Fishel's return to the pitch marked the end of a grueling 13-month rehabilitation period following an ACL tear. It was no surprise to hear of her delight at being back amongst her teammates after such a long absence.
The road to recovery has been particularly challenging for Fishel. She joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 with a burgeoning reputation, having previously made headlines by scoring an impressive 17 goals in just 17 appearances for Mexican side Tigres UANL. In doing so, she became the first foreign player to win the prestigious Liga MX Golden Boot.
Now in Bermuda with her father for some relaxation, Fishel will be giving an exclusive interview to islandstats.com during her time on the island, offering fans a chance to hear more about her journey back from injury and her aspirations for the future.
